Nazar served in 7 Rangers from 16th Dec 1989 until April 1994 as RQMS 1, under 3 COs. Apart from Lt Col Zul, they were Lt Col Harbhajan Singh who has since retired and Lt Col Mukhtar, currently the Deputy Director of Infantry. He was involved with the trooping of the Ranger Colors by the King in 1992 in Ipoh, Perak.
